The dominant colors of Jewish clothing in Iraqi Kurdistan were violet and green. Women wore a dress, overbodice, coat, trousers, and a wrap. The sleeves of the dress were particularly long, as they had triangular additions at their ends that protruded from under the coat, giving it a winged effect. The triangles were knotted at the nape and were let down during dances.
