(Daytime) The project involves the creation of artworks to be installed at the area in front of the Suanluang community and at Suanluang Square. The landscape’s infrastructure is standardized and conforms to the community’s way of life. The installation site is wide and long, and is near two-lane road, which allows panoramic and remote views. The area also presents an environment that supports a good quality of life for the people living there.
Suanluang is a Chinese-Thai area expanded from Yaowarat and Sampheng. People who settled there were doing business in metals and engines, including imported materials and products from China. Also coming from China were culture, beliefs, and religion, whose influences appear in paintings, sculptures, architecture, and handicrafts used in everyday life. The Chinese culture was continually developed and integrated into Thai culture. The creation of this artwork is meant to commemorate the history of the area and to present the aesthetic of the culture.
