Robson takes you on a journey that begins with the acknowledgment of an ever-growing environmental challenge, the costly effects of the overuse and senseless abandon of plastic debris. Instead of a bleak ending based on scarcity and ruin, Stayin' Alive addresses the dissonance between dark and light, waste and beauty, and demise and sustainability, creating a space for contemplation of the potential which lies in thoughtful decision-making and human ingenuity. Responding to time and place, the exhibition features both new works created during Robson's residency at McColl Center and pre-existing works. Stayin' Alive was exhibited at McColl Center from May 9 to July 26, 2014.
