Tang Xiaohe was born in Wuhan, Hubei Province in 1941. He graduated from the Department of Fine Arts of Hubei Academy of Art in 1965. After graduation, he was assigned to work in the History Painting Creation Group of the Chinese Revolutionary Museum. He was a member of the National Committee of the Chinese Federation of Literature, chairman and honorary chairman of the Hubei Provincial Federation of Literature. He is currently the chairman of Hubei Artists Association and the director of the Mural Art Committee of China Artists Association. He was the representative of the Seventh and Eighth National People's Congresses. His main works include oil paintings "Forward in the Strong Wind and Waves", "Gezhouba Man", "October 1976-China", "Dance of the End and Starting Point of Life", murals "Chu Yue", "Phoenix in Fire", "Seven Thousand Years of Egyptian Civilization History" and "Long Territory". He published "Tang Xiaohe Painting Collection".
