Monica Seles won four Australian Open Women’s Singles titles—three as a Yugoslavian (1991-1993), and after gaining United States citizenship, her last as an American. In 1996 Seles defeated Germany’s Anke Huber 6-4, 6-1 to win her 4th Australian Open title and her last of nine major singles titles.
