Krzysztof Wodiczko is best known for his critical large-scale projections in public space – grand objects and body parts projected on buildings and monuments. The documentation in the CoCA collection contains individual photographs by the author from seven such projections.
In terms of numbers, the projections include: seven projections in five years, including five in the USA, one in Canada, one in Germany; five on buildings and two on monuments. Three of them concern contemporary political events, two relate to universal themes (war), and two address contemporary problems (the homeless and the immigrants). [A. Dzierżyc-Horniak]
