Vittorio Guarnieri (1946) graduated from the Dosso Dossi Art Institute in Ferrara and the Accademia Belle Arti Clementina in Bologna. Since 1963 he has been interested in Productive Logic and Spisanian Endometry, finding in them a stimulating reason for his work as an artist. In 1965 he realized the first studies on endometric color, developed from 1969 to 1972 in three series of eighteen temperas each in which are highlighted precise pictorial synthesis of extra-experiential type. His first white, grey and black paintings "dedicated to Paul Klee", whose theoretical thought became the subject of study for Guarnieri in 1970, are from 1968. In January 1974, presented in the catalogue by Giorgio Cortenova, he exhibited twenty-one monochrome paintings at the Galleria Ferrari in Verona, in which, by the zero pigment procedure, he anticipated the pictorial presuppositions of polychromatic monochrome.
