This set contains four toy cars, with an image of Mario, Luigi, Wario, or Donkey Kong displayed upon them, and a larger toy truck that contains the images of several playable characters. Nintendo released Mario Kart 64 for the Nintendo 64 (N64) in 1996. The game served as a sequel to Super Mario Kart (1992) and was the first entry in the Mario Kart series to use 3D graphics. Choosing between characters like Mario, Luigi, Princess Peach, and Bowser, players could race against computer challengers or against one another. Mario Kart 64 sold nearly 10 million copies, making it an incredibly successful endeavor.
