Radio and remote-controlled toys have been favorites of children and adults for decades. From the gasoline and oil-powered vehicles of the late 1960s to the electronic and battery-operated toys of today, the design possibilities are endless. These vehicles are offered in multiple grades, from plastic children's toys to elaborate metal replicas for hobbyists and collectors. Buy them pre-packaged and assembled or purchase an assembly kit to make your own. Most pre-assembled vehicles are modeled after best-selling cars and trucks, military tanks and planes, and two-wheeled motorcycles and scooters. Although these Toy Grade vehicles tend to be less durable than Hobby Grade, they also generally have more elaborate features, such as working lights and sounds and realistic doors and windows that can open and close.
