Autumn moon over Miho

A courtesan is standing on a veranda. She is reading a letter by the light of the moon. Miho, a town on the coast along the Tokaido road, was famous for its beautiful pine groves. A view of Miho is given in the circular insert on the right of the print. Autumn is indicated by the flowering pampas grass.
