Avalon Bay, Santa Catalina Island

A bird's-eye-view of Avalon Bay and the mountains northeast of the bay. A ship, possibly owned by the Grace Line subsidiary called the New York & Pacific Steamship Co., is cruising away from the pier. Anchored in the bay are a variety of other rowboats, sailboats and vessels, including a tourist venue with the signage, "Floating Palace."
