This is the original drawing for plate LXII in the third edition of The Gentleman and Cabinet-Maker's Director, 1762. Inscribed across the top ‘Buroe Dressing Tables No 6' and across the bottom ‘Chippendale invt et delin. Published according to Act of Parliament'. Plan views and scale are shown. The drawing was extracted at an unknown date from the albums of Chippendale drawings now owned by the Metropolitan Museum of Art, New York. It has been dismounted from the leaf of blue wove paper which was cut from the album.
