During winters, fewer terracotta pots are filled with drinking water and metal pots are used instead. When the water pitcher storage is built outdoors, the metal pots are stored indoors to avoid water from getting excessively cold. Since these parinda were built in the courtyard, one of them was used to dry utensils and the other for keeping water during winters.
