Award ceremony of the Echegaray medal to Leonardo Torres Quevedo

In 1916 was awarded the Echegaray medal by th king Alfonso XIII. In 1920, became a member of the Royal Spanish Academy, assuming Benito Pérez Galdó's seat, and was named a member of the Mechanics Department of the Sciences Academy of Paris soon after. In 1922, the Sorbonne University named him Honorary Doctor, and in 1927, was designated as one of the twelve associated members of the Academy.
