Axe

This iron tool with a wooden handle was used by Mr Sarchy for cutting thorns used for building animal enclosures. The blacksmith heated the scrap iron on fire and hammered it into shape. Mr Letunto carved and hafted the wooden handle. Women sometimes used the axe for hewing firewood.
