Baby doll:New Born Babe

In the early years of the 20th century, doll makers offered dolls that looked more like infants than the dolls of previous decades. These infant dolls, or baby dolls, introduced nurturing play in which little girls trained for motherhood by mimicking their mothers' activities in caring for newborn siblings.
