Signature incised at the back of a cast while the plaster was setting. Lorenzo Giuntini made the Maya casts from moulds that A. P. Maudslay brought back from his travels in the 1880s. Giuntini himself accompanied Maudslay on two of his expeditions to make some of the plaster moulds at Quiriguá and Copán.
