Integrator - Back view

Torres Quevedo Museum

Torres Quevedo Museum
Madrid, Spain

When he was already figuring out his electromechanical machines for calculating, he presented in the Academy of Sciences in Paris, in 1911, his statement 'Construction mécanique de la liaison exprimée par la formule y'=dy/dx' in which he presented a new machine, the integrator, which is another clear manifestation of his vivid imagination. Besides carrying out the calculations of the equation y'=dy/dx, this device draws a picture of its results.

Back view of the device in which can be seen the paper where the machine drew the graphics of the results of the operations.
