The Chinese have had a belief in the god of wealth since ancient times. Bi Gan, Fan Li, Zhao Gongming, and Guan Yunchang were all regarded as the gods of fortune. This belief was accepcted abroad by common people since the Five Dynasties. It still has two Gongyang(figures which were offered in worship) at the both sides of the central figure when worshipped the lord god, the left is Messenger of wealth, and the right is immortal official of good fortune. This figurine holds a tablet with Chinese characters "Zhao Cai Shen" should be the "Messenger of wealth".
