Storytown, near Lake George, NY, opened in 1954 as a Mother Goose-themed tourist attraction and amuseument park. In subsequent years, the facility added a Ghosttown, Jungleland, and an Alice in Wonderland area. By 1983 the park's name had changed to The Great Escape, and it thrives today as a large amuseument and waterpark operated by Six Flags Entertainment.
