National Museums of Kenya
Nairobi, Kenya

These are bags made of mindet (Duiker) but sometimes men's are made from Bongo, Pechamit, blue monkey or calf. Women usually use ones without hair on them and put their sewing or jewellery making equipment in them. Men have bags decorated with animal fur and use them for carrying tools to make arrows, quivers etc. Usually these bags are kept inside the house, often hung with a strap.
