Northwestern Products made family games and bagatelles--smaller hand-held pinball games--in the 1940s. Slugger is one such bagatelle, designed around a realistic game of baseball. One or two players may compete for the highest point score, using a sping-loaded pitching device and batting mechanism. Northwestern's bright and realistic graphics helped duplicate the feel of a real ball game.
