The Bahia Pavilion was built in the Italian Renaissance architectural style, designed by architect Raphael Rebecchi. Inside, it featured paintings, portraits, and an exhibition dedicated to wood. The building also included sculptures by Rodolfo Bernardelli, representing Catarina Paraguaçu, a Tupinambá Indigenous woman from the region of present-day Bahia
