The Baird Studio at Alexandra Palace. The IFT (Intermediate Film Technique) camera was positioned in a dedicated bay: It shot on film which was instantly developed for scanning and transmission. The cumbersome machinery lasted only a few months of service before Marconi-EMI were selected to take the television service forward.
