Wojciech Puś's realisations assume the character of space installations in which the artist uses motion picture, light and sound. In his works he combines the aesthetics of experimental film with elements of light and video installations, giving them a cinematographic character. #selfie is a classic 1: 1.33 frame which allows one to see oneself in a continually changing film frame. The main element of the installation steeped in darkness is an enormous screen-mirror. The viewer is reflected in it against the background of a bright neon light forming the word “ignoramus” and the title of the work encourages him/her to take a selfie of him-/herself provided with this humorous commentary by the artist. In the artist's opinion the work is a “homage to professional frustrated people who treat art as one-day news and are keen on commenting it in a superficial way.”

Wojciech Puś (b. 1978) – creates videos, light installations and objects. Graduate of and assistant professor at the Photography & TV Production Department of the Łódź Film School. His works are in the Bunkier Sztuki Collection in Krakow, Museum of Modern Art in Warsaw and private collections. The artist refers to such phenomena as rhythm, movement and time, analysed using the medium of film. He often confronts the viewer with abstract representations having narrative potential, constructed with the use of montage and music.
