An aubergine ground silk brocade baluchari sari, with a floral border
band extending the length of the sari and decorated with alternating
diagonal bands of identical green and off-white leafing flowers
placed more densely at the pallu end, while more widely dispersed in
the body of the sari.
The sari’s pallu features a central row of five large kairis framed
with a floral border, that in turn is surrounded by a wide band
showcasing rows of a repeated motif— that of Europeans in a wheeled
compartment, likely a train
