Bamboo in Snow

A Chinese Buddhist priest who immigrated to Japan in 1722, Taiho became abbot of Manpukuji, the home temple of the Obaku order. Taiho specialized in the painting of bamboo, and here presents the great resiliency of the plant when covered with snow.
