Scarborough in 1914 was one of the premier seaside resorts; the seaside and Scarborough are indelibly linked to many classic Bamforth postcards. In addition to the saucy seaside ‘wish you were here’ postcards, Bamforth also produced a number of humorous postcards relating to the antics of off-duty troops during the war period.
