The bandstand in Halifax's People's Park was built in the late 19th century. Sitting on an octagonal platform, it has cast iron railings with columns supporting an ogee roof. People's Park was presented to the town by the manufacturer Sir Francis Crossley. It was designed by Joseph Paxton with assistance from Edward Milner, and completed in 1857.
