Jack Bain worked for the Bank of Australasia and worked in many branches over his career from the 1920s to his retirement in 1966. Crows Nest (native name Dambagoondammie, which, in the Cooyar dialect, (means a general crossing place). This building was destroyed by fire, 30 May, 1949
