Stanisław Czajkowski portrayed a characteristic view from the surroundings of Kazimierz Dolny. The Vistula with river boats shored on its banks or floating on its surface is a frequent motif depicted in works of artists — not only painters, but also photographers. The refinement of this presentation comes from its minimalism. The boats in the foreground are the main theme of the work. Nothing else disturbs the composition. Its purity is reinforced by the use of a light colour range. The artist would frequently stay in Kazimierz Dolny, leaving an extensive collection of views from that location — mainly landscapes of the town’s surroundings.
