Watercolor painting of the bark Noble, with a black hull with white stripe, sailing in rough seas of the cape of St Vincent. Sails are set but in the process of being furled. The main sail and the foretop sail are being furled by the crew members. Signed: "Hon. Pellegrin a Marseille, 1841." Bottom inscription: "Barque Noble. Capt.n. J. Brown on a Lee shore off the Cape St. Vincent 7th February 1841."
