The Impressionists painted with the right colour combinations and sought the impression that the work would leave on the viewer's vision. The Neo-Impressionists took the original idea further and used colors that would blend into the viewer's retina. Thus red and yellow would come together side by side to form orange and so on. Kliun has painted this particular work in this way, using the primary colors and their complementary colors and seeking to have the viewer synthesize the work. Small and constant brushstrokes create a light landscape.
