Bartolomé Herrera

Portrait of "Bartolomé Herrera" (Lima, 1808-Arequipa, 1864). Priest, doctor in Theology by the Convictorio de San Carlos, where he was rector (1842). He was also a catholic at the University of San Marcos. He occupied important positions in the Peruvian political life from a conservative position, among them, Director of the National Library, deputy and minister of state.
