In the base of the mullion, it can be seen a male figure with beard, next to two lions. No one knows for sure his identity, but different interpretations say that he could be Samson, Adam or Gilgamesh. Also could be, like the rest of the foundations, a reference to the history of Daniel. Both lions, like two more figures of the group, have open mouths, creating a conduit that connect with the crypt, and it’s used to renew the air and communicate symbolically both worlds.
