A basket in dark or light brown squares with skin rim. Made by women and girls from the inner bark of the "Silibuet" tree, ie the material of the core. The wrapping thread is made from "Topararik" tree. Woven from the bottom up and an awl is used to pierce the "Selibuet" and thread. Girls learn to make these at an early ages. The female sex make them for their husbands, brothers or sons and only men used them. Posho is made (ugali) and placed in this and taken to the owner where he sits at kook (mens camp fire) and he eats from the basket, dipping the ugali into meat/vegetable stew. Also women were seen drinking maize pombe from this the Kipsigis.
