Bathing Ensemble: Woman's bathing ensemble of wool twill trimmed with wool braid consisting of:
(A) Dress of wool twill; turn-down collar at front becomes sailor collar at reverse; collar trimmed with rows of wool braid; princess seams; shortened skirt becomes full at lower portion; long sleeves with gathered self cuff; interior casing for drawstring; cuff trimmed with rows of wool braid; rows of wool braid trim either side of CF closure and continue to trim hem of skirt; round thermoplastic buttons down CF; unlined; hem is cut.
(B) Drawers of wool twill; CB button closure; voluminous upper portion gently pleated to waistband; straight legs; bottom of legs gathered to interior wool casing and trimmed with rows of wool braid.

Hat: Plaited straw bergere; round, wide brim with short conical crown at center; gathered and pleated crinoline/straw woven ribbon and plaid silk ribbon arranged around crown on brim; inner crown lined in brown cotton gathered into drawstring at center.

Note: Straw braid is machine-made, recognizable by the chain-stitch on the reverse.
Parasol: Silk parasol with hinge on handle; double layer of black silk with two rows of ruffles added to the top layer; under layer of shantung silk; handle of black painted wood with hinge at center.
