Having visited the regiments stationed at 'Twin Nobs' in the Arakan mountains in Spring 1943, Gross was invited by some Indian Officers of the Rajput Regiment to visit their forward positions. He finally reached them on a hill overlooking the Mayu River. It was here that Gross did this drawing of his hosts with some of their trophies - Japanese parasols.
