Battle of Britain Portraits: Squadron Leader T G Pickering AE

To celebrate the 70th anniversary of the Battle of Britain, HRH The Prince of Wales, patron of the Battle of Britain Fighter Association, commissioned the series of drawings by alumni and faculty of the Royal Drawing School.
Susan Wilson attended Camberwell and Royal Academy Schools and was a Fellow of Painting at Cheltenham and Gloucester College of Art and Technology in 1986. She held the Richard Ford Award (Madrid 1986), Italian Govt Borso di Studio (Venice & the Veneto, 1985) and the Abbey Award British School (Rome 1993). Susan taught at Chelsea School of Art and Wolverhampton Polytechnic in the 1990’s. She illustrated Katherine Mansfield’s Short Stories (Folio Society 2000) with a subsequent touring exhibition in 2003. Susan is represented by Browse & Darby and teaches on the Royal Drawing School's courses.
