Treatise iv.95. An example of Baxter's autobiographical writing, herein he reflects on 'The true Case of my accused Life, & Writings for MERCY, LOVE & UNITY; & abatements & forbearance to those ends. Because I find that the hard thoughts of my Person & former Life, Suggest hard Expositions of my accused writings, Confessing myselfe a great Sinner, I shall recite so much truly as may give Strangers a just judgment of my Case'

A closely written manuscript in Baxter's hand treated by the conservator with a Japanese paper support. An autobiographical piece, containing 39 articles and differing from his own 'Penitent Confession' written in the last year of his life (1691).

A full transcription of this document will be provided as part of the supplementary biographical material included in the forthcoming critical edition.
