Beam crossing Beam lines from Linac 1 and Linac 2 to the Booster

High-energy beams leaving the PS pass over the 50 MeV protons on their way to the accelerator. The two beam lines converging in the foreground (photo 260) come from the old and new Linacs. Crossing above them in the background is the main transfer line to the ISR and the SPS ; just in front of the it another high-energy line leads to an external dump used for setting up, adjustment and machine development.
