This drawing shows a design for the oak showcases that were placed on the first floor of the Beauchamp Tower in the early 1900s. The six cases contained ‘curios’ and artefacts such as tiles and pottery fragments. However, it was the historic graffiti left by notable prisoners that provided the main attraction for visitors to this part of the Tower.
