Alice is one of the women supported by Carakana Program and here she shares her story: NOT FORGOTTEN
" My name is Alice, I am a deaf woman living in Dandora and I worked on this pattern of a beautiful cottage. It took me three months to complete the piece. This project has helped me take care of my family. In our meetings I feel very motivated and I am reminded know that disability is never inability. The deaf community is sometimes forgotten in the society but we are grateful to Carakana for coming to our aid."
