Knox is a main representative of the Celtic Revival, a style that emerged in Great Britain around 1900 and combined Celtic elements with Art Nouveau elements. His unmistakable style combines simple contours that emphasize the texture of the material with highly stylized floral or geometric decor borrowed from early Celtic-Nordic models. The blue-green enamel areas constitute the colour accents.
