This ceremonial pot is called Korosion . It is used alongside two other large beer pots during traditional wedding ceremonies of the Pokot. The pot is put in the middle of the bridegroom's compound and the elders sit around it according to their agesets. It is covered with cowhide to prevent wearing off and with marriage leaves.
