Beethoven's last quill

Beethoven loved to write and wrote a lot. More than 1,700 letters have been preserved, many of which can be found today in the Digital Archive of the Beethoven-Haus Bonn. The letters, diaries, notes and conversation books show the person behind the genius. Though expressing himself was not easy for Beethoven. In his words, "I'd rather write 10,000 notes than one letter."
