With this small stamp Ludwig van Beethoven sealed his letters. And they were extremely important for Beethoven's existence. He had to sell his works, keep potential customers happy and also negotiate rights of use. Unlike most composers before him, Beethoven was not supported by a patron, but had to earn his own money as a freelancer.
