Before the Storm wind

Before the Storm Wind is a painting by South African artist Erik Laubser (1927-2013) painted in 1981. In this abstract seascape, Laubscher paints a cold front moving in from the sea near Cape Town. Short Biography: Frederik Bester Howard Laubscher was born in 1927 in Tulbagh in the Western Cape, He studies under Maurice van Essche and also in London and Paris. Laubscher was the first living South African artist to fetch more than 1 million Rand at auction. He passed away in Hout Bay in 2013.
