Begum Samru and her army.
This painting shows the ruler of Sardhana, Begum Samru (r. 1778-1836), riding on an elephant, surrounded by her armies of cavalry, infantry and artillery marching on parade. The artillery includes guns mounted on camels (zamburak), and ox-drawn cannon.
