This Belgian 1-cent coin was recovered along with others from Upper Canada, the United States and Russia during ASI’s 2004 excavation of the Edgar Site. Located in the city of Vaughan, the site represents a 19th century rural homestead encompassing nine domestic features consisting of a drainage ditch, refuse pits, a root seller and building footprint. A total of 10,665 Euro-Canadian artifacts were found there during Stage 3 and 4 excavations.
